*A little Claymate is on the way! I must admit I was shocked when I heard this news--Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy. His close friend and music producer, 50 year-old Jaymes Foster, who is David Foster's sister, was artificially inseminated and is due in August. Clay is more than a donor. He will play an active role in raising the child. Maybe Ryan Seacrest will be the baby's godfather--he has every other job title!

*Sex and The City: The Movie opens today in theaters. Sarah Jessica Parker has 81 costume changes in the movie. Also, the ladies do look fabulous, but they had a little help thanks to movie magic. Cameras were fitted with softening filters to mask the actresses' wrinkles. I need a filter!

*A report says Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart are engaged and are planning a low-key ceremony this summer.

*Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are getting married tonight in California. Charlie's ex, Denise Richards is definitely not on the guest list.

*Eddie Murphy will star in Beverly Hills Cop 4

*American Idol David Cook sold nearly 1 million digital downloads in a week and he has 11 entries on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart--that's the most from a single artist since the Beatles put 14 on the chart in 1964.

*Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz finally confirmed that they are expecting a baby. They said they wanted to get past the first trimester before announcing the happy news. Congrats! Ashlee is changing her name to Ashlee Wentz privately and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz professionally.

*Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are back on, but only if Jessica's dad, Joe stays out of their business. Tony couldn't take his meddling in their relationship any more and he will only date Jess if her Dad backs off!

*Ladies, good news: George Clooney is back on the market. He split from model Sarah Larson after a year of dating. Friends say they had little in common--except being good-looking!

*Sources say Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are expecting a boy.

*American Idol David Cook officially signed a contract with RCA Records and his debut album will be out this Fall. David will start the songwriting process next week.

*The New York City premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie took place last night at Radio City Music Hall. The stars walked the pink carpet, which was sprinkled with Swarovski crystals. The movie opens Friday in theaters. My suggestion for the ladies: call your closest girlfriends, meet for Cosmopolitans and then see the movie.

*This may break some hearts--American Idol David Cook is dating Idol season 2 finalist and TV Guide Channel reporter Kimberly Caldwell. He asked her out last week on live TV and she said yes!

*Tori Spelling will reprise her role as Donna Martin on the CW's 90210 spinoff series

*Gwen Stefani threw a star-studded bash for her son Kingston's 2nd birthday. Christina Aguilera, Kate Beckinsale, Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham were among the celebs who brought their kids to the safari-themed party.

*Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the process of moving their belongings into their new $70 million estate on the French Riviera. Brangelina's famous neighbors include Johnny Depp and U2's Bono.

*Singer Amy Winehouse was photographed wearing a DIAPER! I sincerely hope Amy gets the help she needs soon because she keeps getting more and more bizarre....

DIANE'S CELEBRITY DIRT - TUESDAY, MAY 27

*Indiana Jones ruled the holiday weekend box office. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cyrstal Skull" took in $151 million in the U.S. and $311 million worldwide. That's the second biggest Memorial Day weekend opening ever, behind only "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End." I saw the new Indy movie and even though it is easy to get caught up in the nostalgia of Harrison Ford being back in costume and the dramatic Indiana Jones music, I thought it was short on plot and long on action. The script could have used a little help, but the action scenes alone make it worth seeing. By the way, when Harrison Ford was trying to break into acting, a movie studio executive called Harrison into his office and told him he would never make it in show business. I guess Harrison is getting the last laugh--all the way to the bank! So don't let anyone try to crush your dream!

*Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought a $70 million estate on the French Riviera as they prepare for the birth of their twins. Each of their kids was born in a different country. Happy 2nd birthday to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.

*Jessica Simpson and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo were back ON over the Memorial Day weekend. It's hard to keep track of these two! They had a romantic dinner in Texas Saturday night and sources say there were holding hands and looked happy.

*Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer kept their relationship hidden from us for months! They were quietly dating for three months before going public with P.D.A. poolside in Miami recently. Jen wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fling and sources say she has fallen hard for John.

*Sad news to report: Oscar-winning filmaker Sydney Pollack died after a battle with cancer. He was 73. Such a talented man--he will be missed....

*The American Idol season finale Wednesday brought in big ratings. 32 milion people tuned in to see David Cook win the title. That's up 3% from last year's finale. I have to take this opportunity to mention my "cougar crush" on David Cook. I am almost 40 and he's in his mid-20's and I have never had a crush on a younger guy before, but I like him! The girls in the office have been saying the same thing. This crush only developed in the last 2 weeks of the Idol season. His look really transformed throughout the competition. David says he has a crush on Mandy Moore--someone his own age...

*Oprah is on a new diet. She's on a 21-day vegan detox diet and she's blogging about it at oprah.com

*Sources say Jessica Simpson's dad, Joe caused Tony Romo to break up with Jess. Tony was sick of Joe giving him career and dating advice. I guess three really is a crowd!

*Ashlee Simpson's wedding photos are in the new issue of People Magazine

*Tom Cruise is threatening legal action against L.A. baby boutique Petit Tresor for revealing info about his and Katie Holmes' outrageous spending habits when it comes to shopping for their daughter Suri.

*Janet Jackson confirmed a few tour dates. She'll be at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ on October 17. I'll keep you posted when she releases more dates--hopefully she'll come to Atlantic City.

*One of the stars of the hit ABC show "Desperate Housewives" will be appearing this Sunday night at Trump Marina. Ricardo Chavira, who plays Carlos Solis will host the Destined For Cash Sweepstakes starting at 8:00PM on May 25 in the Atrium.

*Simon Cowell made his prediction for the winner for American Idol: David Cook. He thinks Cook worked harder than David Archuleta. The two Davids will battle it out starting tonight on the first part of the season finale. Tomorrow night the new American Idol will be crowned. Tonight is the season finale of Dancing With The Stars with the disco ball trophy up for grabs.

*Is Justin Timberlake ready to settle down? There are rumors that his girlfriend, Jessica Biel is pregnant. They are just rumors at this point--maybe the girl was just bloated!

*Katie Holmes is getting away from Tom Cruise by starrring in a Broadway show. Katie is heading to NYC and will make her debut in Arthur Miller's All My Sons in the fall.

*Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning a $4 million wedding ceremony in New York this summer. Mariah wants 2,000 guests and 14 bridesmaids.

*Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got married Saturday night in front of 150 guests at her parents' Los Angeles home. Daddy Joe Simpson performed the ceremony, Pete's bulldog, Hemingway was the ring bearer and Jessica Simpson was maid of honor. Jessia was not dateless for the wedding. Daddy Simpson reportedly begged Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo to attend, even though he recently dumped Jess, and he agreed. AWKWARD! Wedding guests said Ashlee confirmed that she is pregnant and one report puts her at four months along.

*Kate Hudson is dating Lance Armstrong. They spent a romantic weekend together in Texas

*The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian topped the weekend box office. Iron Man fell to the #2 spot. I saw Iron Man yesterday and absolutely loved it! I put it right up there with the first Spiderman movie. Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic. Here's a tip: if you are going to see Iron Man, sit through the credits because there is another scene at the very end. You'll have to wait about 5 minutes, but it's worth it.

*Star Jones' ex, Al Reynolds is shopping around a tell-all interview about what it's like to be married to Star. Al is looking for a six-figure deal to dish the dirt.

*Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are the talk of the Cannes Film Festival. As you can see by the photo, they looked gorgeous on the red carpet for Angelina's movie, Kung Fu Panda. Angie's due date has been revealed--August 19, though some are saying she is due much sooner and she's trying to mislead the media. Her belly does look big to have another three months to go, but then again, she is expecting twins.

*Ashlee Simpson is marrying Pete Wentz tomorrow and People Magazine is paying over $1 million for the rights to the photos. Maid of honor Jessica Simpson may be dateless for the wedding--looks like her relationship with Tony Romo is history.

*Matthew McConaughey is negotiating a 7-figure deal for the first photos of his unborn baby and he has already gotten three offers. I wonder if the baby will go shirtless all the time like his or her daddy....

*Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are vacationing together at Mel's house in Costa Rica. Brit's dad and Mel's wife are also there. Mel reached out to Britney several months ago when she was in crisis and they became friends.

*Halle Berry is not engaged. She has been wearing a ring on that special finger, but she said she thought the ring was beautiful so she bought it for herself.

*The Davids--Archuleta and Cook--will battle out next week for the title of American Idol. Syesha was voted off last night after a record 56 million votes were cast. Simon Cowell said he thinks David Cook deserves to win.

*It has been confirmed--Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ARE expecting twins. Angelina was doing a joint interview with her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black on the Today Show and Jack let it slip. Angelina wouldn't reveal the gender of the babies. Congrats times two!

*Newlyed Mariah Carey is already planning for motherhood. Her assistant contacted a baby boutique to inquire about fabric samples for a nursery. The biological clock is ticking!!

*Sources close to Tony Romo said that Tony dumped Jessica Simpson, even though her rep is denying it. Poor Jess! She never really got over being dumped by John Mayer, and now this....

*Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson have reportedly broken up, just days after engagement rumors surfaced.

*Maxim Magazine released the annual Hot 100 list. Victoria's Secret and Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Model Marissa Miller tops the list, followed by Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel. Other hot ladies include Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Rihanna, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Heidi Klum and believe it or not--Britney Spears.

*Dancing With the Stars is down to the final 3 after Marissa Jaret Winokur was eliminated last night. Marisa had some great advice for the audience after being voted off, saying "I want everyone to go out and do something fun and do something that makes you feel sexy and shake what your momma gave you!” (Or, since the show is taped in Hollywood, shake what your plastic surgeon gave you!)

*The final 3--the Davids and Syesha--performed last night on American Idol. Simon said David Cook won the night and I agree. We'll find out who's going home tonight on the results show. My prediction is that Syesha will be voted off and the Davids will battle it out in the season finale.

*Britney Spears was involved in ANOTHER minor car accident. Brit rear-ended an SUV yesterday in Beverly Hills. A witness said Britney seemed distracted and tapped the car in front of her.

*Drew Barrymore was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Hollywood. She ended up in pursuit of the male driver who rear-ended her. Drew got his license number and reported it to police.

*Newlywed Mariah Carey was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday talking about her new hubby Nick Cannon. Mariah said they plan on having another wedding and motherhood is on her to-do list.

*The Beyonce pregnancy rumors continue. It appears that Beyonce has gained weight since her April 4th wedding to Jay-Z. Then again, Beyonce is a yo-yo dieter so it's hard to tell.

*John Mayer and Jennifer Anison took their romance on the road. Jen was backstage at John's concert in Orlando last night, taking pictures and giving him a kiss before his encore. By the way, John said his new haircut was inspired by Alex P. Keaton, Michael J. Fox's character on Family Ties. LOL!

*Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are not engaged, despite reports to the contrary. The rumors started after Kate was spotted wearing a diamond ring, but it's just a movie prop.

*Jennie Garth is joining the cast of the upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off. Now there's a report that Tori Spelling may also be on the show.

*Paul McCartney is a free man! A judge offically terminated the union between Sir Paul and Heather Mills. Now Heather can claim the $50 million she was awarded in the divorce settlement.

*People Magazine shelled out $2 million for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's wedding photos

A FIRST DAUGHTER'S WEDDING

*Congratulations to Jenna Bush, who married Henry Hager Saturday at her parents' ranch in Crawford, Texas. Jenna is the first daughter of a sitting United States president to marry in 16 years. She picked Joe Cocker's song "You Are So Beautiful" for the father-daughter dance with President Bush at the reception.

*Madonna is coming back to Atlantic City on her worldwide Sticky & Sweet tour. The date is November 22 at Boardwalk Hall--tickets go on sale June 2. November 19 is the date for The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. I saw Madonna last time she was in A.C. and it was the best concert I have ever been to--girlfriend knows how to put on a show!

*Liv Tyler separated from her hubby of 5 years, British rocker Royston Langdon.

*Sources say Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married on May 16. Jessica Simpson revealed that she will be Ashlee's maid of honor.

*An update on the latest American Idol controversy involving ousted contestant Jason Castro. It looked like Jason was saying "Don't vote" when Ryan Seacrest gave out his phone numbers on Tuesday night, but Jason explained that he was really saying "vote, vote."

*A source close to Katherine Heigl says she wants out of her Grey's Anatomy contract to focus on her movie career, but the show likely won't let her out of it.

*Jason Castro was voted off American Idol last night. Simon told him to pack his suitcase so he did! Jason mentioned that the pace of Idol was getting to him so maybe it's a good thing that he was sent home. Ryan Seacrest may be getting ANOTHER big job. Seacrest is in serious negotiations to take over as host of Larry King Live on CNN when Larry retires. Larry mentioned that Seacrest is his first choice to replace him. Does Seacrest ever sleep???

*Mariah Carey confirms her marriage to Nick Cannon in the new issue of People Magazines, which will hit stores tomorrow. You can see the wedding photos from the April 30th ceremony in the Bahamas. Mariah and Nick said it was love at first sight (how sweet!)

*Madonna knocked Mariah off the top of the album charts. The album, Hard Candy is Madonna's 7th #1 album. Madonna kissed one of her female dancers at a concert in Paris--the picture is all over the internet.

*A report says Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expecting twin girls

*Dr. McDreamy has pec envy! Patrick Dempsey is jealous of his co-star Eric Dane's pecs (Eric is Dr. Mc Steamy.) Patrick said there's a lot of pressure in Hollywood for men to have perfect bodies. He looks perfect to me!

*R & B star Mario was voted off Dancing With the Stars, so it's down to the final 3

*The final 4 performed last night on American Idol. Simon said David Archuleta crushed the competition, but he told Jason Castro to pack his suitcase. Jason had a horrible night and even forgot some of the words to his second song. I would be shocked if he gets through to next week, but stranger things have happened on Idol. We'll find out tonight on the results show.

*We can breathe a sigh of relief--Mariah Carey DID get a pre-nup before her impromptu wedding to Nick Cannon.

*A judge feels that Britney Spears is making progress, so she was granted additional time with her 2 sons. She's spending Mother's Day with the boys and hopes to have 50/50 custody with Kevin Federline by August. I am so happy to hear that Britney is doing much better.

*According to TV Guide, the sexiest man on TV is Patrick Dempsey (YES!! I agree!) and the sexiest woman is Jennifer Love Hewitt.

*It has been confirmed--Mariah Carey is a newlywed! Mariah married actor/singer Nick Cannon last week in the Bahamas. I hear there is no pre-nup!

*Iron Man was #1 at the weekend box office, taking in more than $100 million. They are already talking about a sequel. Patrick Dempsey's romantic comedy Made of Honor was the #2 movie. I saw Made of Honor and loved it--if you love McDreamy and you're a sucker for romance, see this movie! Last week's #1, Baby Mama fell to #3.

*Britney Spears was in Kentwood, Louisiana over the weekend for her sister Jamie Lynn's baby shower. It's good to see Brit back home and spending time with her family.

*ABC cancelled "Men in Trees." That's one of my favorite shows!

*Brooke White was voted off American Idol. The poor thing was crying like a baby and had to perform! So it's down to the Top 4. Paula Abdul is on damage control, trying to explain her blunder on Tuesday night. In case you missed it, Paula critiqued two of Jason's songs when he only sang one. Paula said the judges were thrown a curveball and she wrote down comments for two singers on one card so she got confused. It makes for good TV--I hope she gets confused again next week!

*People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People issue hits stores tomorrow and Kate Hudson is the cover girl. Other beautiful people who made the list are Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Janet Jackson, Halle Berry, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Miley Cyrus.

*Mariah Carey is engaged to Nick Cannon, but is she wearing a hand-me-down engagement ring? Mariah has been wearing a 14-carat, $2.5 million diamond ring that looks exactly like the ring Nick gave his former fiance, Victoria's Secret model Selita. A source close to Selita says it is the same ring! If it really is the same ring, that is tacky!!!!

*Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer miss each other already--awwwww! They spent the weekend together in Miami, but John went back to New York while Jen stayed in Miami to film a movie.

*It's a girl for Jamie Lynn Spears. Her mom, Lynn isn't happy that her teenaged daughter is preggers, but she's thrilled to welcome her first granddaughter. The bundle of joy is due at the end of June.

*The movie Iron Man opens today in theaters.
