*Bono from U2 was honored Thursday with the 2007 Liberty Medal in Philadelphia for his humanitarian work in Africa. By the way, Bono and The Edge completed the music for Spiderman: The Musical, which will eventually be on Broadway.

*Here's a shocker: Oprah Winfrey tops Forbes Magazine's list of the top-earning TV celebrities. Oprah raked in $260 million from June 2006 through June 2007. Jerry Seinfeld is second on the list, followed by Simon Cowell, David Letterman and Donald Trump.

*A 10-year-old boy will be an extra in an upcoming Will Ferrell movie after his parents placed the winning bid of more than $47, 000 in a charity auction on ebay (lucky kid--I had trouble getting $5 from my parents when I was growing up!)

*Ryan Seacrest isn't busy enough, so he will now produce a new scripted sitcom for the E channel starring David Hasselhoff. Tales from the Hoff hopes to be like Curb Your Enthusiasm.

*Kiefer Sutherland is the latest celeb to be busted for D.U.I. Kiefer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Tuesday in Hollywood. He was already on probation so he could do some jail time for this one.

*Jessica Biel is in talks to star as Wonder Woman in the new Justice League Of America movie based on the comic books

*ABC was the most watched network Monday night thanks to the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars. 21 million viewers tuned in to see the ladies strut their stuff.

*More bizarre behavior from Britney Spears (what a shocker!) Britney still doesn't have a valid California driver's license, but that didn't stop her from driving with her two sons in the car. She drove the wrong way up a one way street! It was heartbreaking to see the little boys holding hands in the back seat--the poor things must be so scared! Britney also had a strange encounter with a cameraman in a public bathroom. She asked the guy to buy her tampons and then invited him into the bathroom. It keeps getting worse in Britney's world!

*Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana") is not pregant! That was the rumor going around. The girl is only 14 years old and she's too busy working to do anything else! By the way, Miley's tour will stop at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on January 5. Tickets go on sale Saturday, but Mike and I are giving away free tickets every hour from 6-9AM this week on WAYV.

*Britney Spears has another addiction--shopping! Britney's former bodyguard, who is on the interview circuit, said Britney would spend up to $6,000 a day.

*George Clooney said he's doing okay after his motorcycle crash last week and even felt well enough to attend the premiere of his new movie last night in New York City.

*Justin Timberlake confessed that he cancelled two recent concerts because he was hungover after the MTV Video Music Awards. Justin leads the nominees for the MTV Europe Video Music Awards with 4 nominations.

*The E Channel offered Larry Birkhead a reality show that he would star in with baby Dannielynn but Larry rejected the offer--for now.

*George Clooney and his girlfriend, Sarah Larson were involved in a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon in Weehawkin, New Jersey--of all places. They were hit by a car and rushed to Palisades Medical Center. George suffered a hairline fracture of a rib and Sarah broke her foot. George, call me if you need a private nurse!

*Salma Hayek is a new mom at the age of 41. She named her baby girl Valentina Paloma. Speaking of baby girls, Dancing with the Stars co-host Samantha Harris had a baby girl yesterday and named her Joselyn. Speaking of Dancing with the Stars, the new season kicks off tonight at 8:00 on ABC.

*Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi is back in rehab. He checked into the Utah facility in which Lindsay Lohan is being treated.

*Britney Spears' bad month just got worse. Britney was charged with hit-and-run, causing property damage and driving without a valid license, stemming from a fender bender in August. A court date is set for October 10 and Britney could face up to one year in jail, but legal experts say she probably won't do any time.

*Resident Evil: Extinction was the #1 movie at the weekend box office, followed by Good Luck Chuck and The Brave One

*The Britney Spears saga continues! A court ordered Britney to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week and meet with a parenting coach for at least 8 hours a week. I hope this is finally the wakeup call that Britney needs to realize that she is very close to losing her kids!

*It was the season finale last night of Big Brother 8 and it came down to the father/daughter team of Evil Dick and Daniele as the final two. Dick (my favorite) won the $500,00 grand prize. Big Brother had nearly 9 million viewers last week. Here's a list of the top 10 primetime shows:

*Reese Witherspoon, who doesn't usually open up about her personal life, revealed that she felt paralyzed during her divorce. Reese said she was able to get through it by realizing that half of the country has gone through the same thing.

*23-year-old soap star Kirsten Storms was busted for D.U.I. in Los Angeles. Kirsten, who plays Maxie Jones on General Hospital and previously starred as Belle Black on Days of our Lives, is scheduled to appear in court October 2.

*Britney Spears opened the MTV Video Music Awards last night and it was a disaster! Britney's highly-anticipated musical comeback was an embarassment! Britney was unprepared, forgot the words to her own song, barely did the dance moves, stumbled a few times and looked out of shape in her skimpy outfit. I was so disappointed! Britney has had so many problems lately and should have "wowed" everyone when she was ready to make a comeback. The celebrities in the audience looked stunned. It's such a shame when you compare last night's performance to the Britney of the past.

More drama at the VMA's--Kid Rock punched Tommy Lee! Can you believe those two are still fighting over Pamela Anderson? Police charged Kid Rock with misdemeanor battery and he could face up to 6 months in prison.

*Jude Law was arrested after assaulting a photographer outside his London home. Jude was released on bail.

*Owen Wilson is recovering at home after his recent suicide attempt and his ex-girlfriend, Kate Hudson has been banned from visiting or calling him. Kate broke up with Owen a few months ago and his friends and family think the breakup played a part in his depression.

*Good news for the guys: Jenna Fisher, who plays Pam on The Office is single. She split from her husband of 6 years. By the way, the new season of The Office kicks off September 27 on NBC.

*This is an odd couple--Paul McCartney and Renee Zellweger has a romantic dinner last week in the Hamptons. Paul does like blondes!

*Whoopi Goldberg made her debut Tuesday as the new co-host of the View and she already stirred up controvery by defending Michael Vick, who pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges. It makes me miss Rosie!

*Spiderman star Tobey Maguire got married in Hawaii Monday. The lucky lady is Jennifer Meyer, the mother of Tobey's 9-month-old daughter.

*Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo is happy to be engaged to music producer Chris Ivery but she doesn't like her 3.5-carat engagement ring. Ellen is upset that Chris spent his life savings on the ring. That's okay, she makes enough $$$ for the both of them!
