*Nicole Richie went to jail--but she's out already! Nicole checked in Thursday afternoon to serve her four-day sentence for D.U.I. and was released after only 82 minutes due to overcrowding. By the way, according to her booking sheet, Nicole is 5'1" and is 105 pounds (and she's 5 months pregnant! I feel fat!)

*Lindsay Lohan caught a lucky break! Prosecutors did not file felony charges in her two drunken-driving cases and instead only filed misdemeanor counts. If you remember, cocaine was found in Lindsay's pocket during her last arrest. She could have done years in jail, but instead will only serve 1 day under the terms of a plea deal. Meanwhile, Lindsay released a statement yesterday saying that she is addicted to alcohol and drugs and is getting her life together.

*A report says Britney Spears could be pulling a Madonna and moving from Los Angeles to London. Britney thinks it may be her only hope to keep her kids.

*The first PDA for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. They were spotted holding hands as they left Justin's New York City restaurant. Ahhhh!

*A source says Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have separate bedrooms because Katie can't stand Tom's snoring!

*Beyonce said she didn't flash the audience at her concert in Toronto. She was wearing a flesh-toned bra when her top flew up (sorry guys!)

*Wayne Newton will reportedly dance on the new season of Dancing With the Stars. The official lineup will be announced next Wednesday on Good Morning America

*New couple alert: John Mayer and Cameron Diaz are heating up! A source close to John confirmed that the two are dating. It's perfect--she likes musicians and he likes famous blondes!

*Ryan Seacrest is officially the hardest working man in show biz. In addition to his many other jobs, Seacrest will host the Superbowl pre-game and half-time shows on Fox and will host the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 16.

*Britney Spears' former rehab facility, Promises in Malibu was served with papers in Kevin Federline's custody battle. Meanwhile, K-Fed has a new job. He'll guest star in a few episodes of the CW show One Tree Hill

*Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is working on a detective novel. She has been spotted writing at cafes in Scotland, which is where she wrote the Harry Potter books.

*There was a rumor that 16-month-old Suri Cruise (Tom and Katie's daughter) would be the new face of Baby Gap in their ad campaign. Well, it's not true!

*Singer Amy Winehouse (she sings the "Rehab" song) and her hubby checked into a drug rehab facility. Amy finally said "yes, yes, yes" to rehab after she and her hubby's parents got into a fight about their kids' addictions. One of Amy's drugs of choice was a horse tranquilizer (WHAT??!! That's disturbing!)

*Two more people close to Britney Spears were served papers in connection wtih Britney's custody battle with Kevin Federline. Brit's bodyguard and former assistant were surprised with deposition subpeonas. Meanwhile, Britney's little sister Jamie Lynn is siding with K-Fed.

*Lindsay Lohan is being sued in connection with her car chase before being arrested for drunk driving recently. The woman was a passenger in a car that Lindsay was pursuing and she claims she is now suffering emotional distress because her life was in danger.

*Jennifer Lopez is releasing a new English language album on October 9

*Paris Hilton sold her Hollywood home for $4.25 million--it was only on the market for 10 days. Paris is looking for more privacy and her neighbors are glad that she's out of there.

*Sources say Pink's marriage to Carey Hart is on the rocks

*Tori Spelling had her son 5 months ago and she already wants another baby. Two in diapers? Thats a lot of work!

*Kevin Federline was fired from his small role in the upcoming Keanu Reeves film The Night Watchman. I actually feel bad for K-Fed because his manager forgot to tell him that he was fired. Kevin showed up for a wardrobe fitting and was told the bad news.

*Sad news to report: Merv Griffin died Sunday after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 82.

*Britney Spears cousin/assistant Alli Sims was served with papers by Kevin Federline's lawyer at 2:30AM Sunday as she was leaving a Hollywood party. He wants to grill Alli about Britney's lifestyle and parenting skills, including how much she boozed it up in front of the kids

*Drew Carey was injured on the set of The Price is Right. Drew got his arm caught in the revolving turntable on the stage while rehearsing for the Grocery Game. Drew is okay and is back to work and joking with the crew members about his accident.

*Lindsay Lohan is not receiving special treatment at a Utah rehab center. Lindsay has been washing dishes, cleaning toilets and doing laundry. Welcome to the real world, Lindsay!

This may give K-Fed more ammunition: a 21-year-old college student dishes the dirt about making out with Britney while she was topless in a rooftop pool at a Los Angeles hotel in this week's issue of US Weekly Magazine. The guy said all Britney wanted to do that night was kiss a boy. Brit, you have 2 babies at home! How about staying home for a change?

*Spice Girl Melanie Brown, who is in a paternity battle with Eddie Murphy, secretly married her boyfriend, music producer Stephen Belafonte in Las Vegas in June. The two had been good friends for many years and recently fell in love. Congrats!
