*MTV finally confirmed that Britney Spears will open the Video Music Awards Sunday night with a performance of her new single. Meanwhile, there's a report that Playboy turned down Britney's offer to pose for the magazine. I don't buy it--even though Britney has seen better days, I think the issue would have been a big seller.
